Obadiah 1:17
But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
Breakdown of the Vision:
1) But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance...
A soul is delivered from sin, death and hell. Reconciled to God by the blood of Jesus the son of God, who gave His life a ransom and died on the cross for the salvation of mankind. The deliverance is total: from negative flows, ancestral issues, physical deficiencies, financial oppression, demonic oppression, marital stagnation and spiritual malaise.
(Heb 2:17, 9:26; Jn 1:12,14,29, 8:36, 10:10; 1 Cor 15:3-4)
2) and there shall be holiness...
The delivered soul imbibes holiness as a lifestyle and is sanctified unto God through conformity to the image of Jesus Christ by the Word of God and the Spirit of God.
(Jn 15:3, 17:17, 6:63; 2 Cor 3:17-18; 1 Pet 1:16; Eph 5:26-27, 4:13).
3) and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
The new man (sanctified and holy) is divinely commissioned to go into the world and preach the good news, recover nations for his Saviour - Jesus Christ the King of kings.
(Mk 16:15; Matt 28:19; Jn 15:16; Acts 1:8; Col 1:16, Ps 2:8).
